Medical Grade Antibacterial Keyboard

The SteriType® medical grade keyboard is specifically designed for medical, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and other hygiene critical environments. The keyboard is washable, waterproof and features an integral silicone cover to protect against the ingress of spills, dirt and moisture. All touchable surfaces including the silicone cover contain SteriTouch® antimicrobial protection, guarding against the growth of bacterial such as E.coli, MRSA and Salmonella.

The integrated silicone cover of the keyboard is resistant to cleaning chemicals and will prevent the penetration of dirt and liquid contaminants, while its white colour easily shows up splatters and spills. It can be disinfected and washed whilst remaining waterproof.

The SteriType® keyboard is compliant with HTM01-05 requirements for easy-clean keyboards, as recommended in the Department of Health’s (2008) ‘Clean, safe care: reducing infections and saving lives’.

The SteriType® keyboard can also be of benefit in increasingly common ‘hot desking’ environments, where desks and keyboards are shared amenities and contribute to the cross infection of pathogenic germs and moulds.

SteriType keyboards have undergone chemical resistance testing which has proven their efficacy is unaffected by cleaning chemicals such as chlorine bleach, disinfectants and alcohol. The antimicrobial properties of materials containing SteriTouch® have been proven to withstand even harsh industrial products like MEK (methyl ethyl ketone).
