BST Detectable Products is pleased to confirm that the vast majority of products made with our exclusive XDETECT® v3.0 material are now Halal approved. 

This accreditation compliments the Kosher accreditation which we acquired early 2018. XDETECT® food safe detectable compound has been successfully tested against EU, FDA and Japanese food contact criteria, with the full documentation, including migration test data.

This Polypropylene compound is the ultimate food safety plastic, it is metal detectable, x-ray visible and antibacterial, which means that it actively protects against germs and mould, it is shatter resistant and also available in nine hygiene colours.

Exclusive to BST, this is the arguably the most advanced detectable plastic compound currently available on the market.

You can find out if a product is Halal approved by viewing the ‘Key Information’ on any product page on the BST website. Under the ‘Food Contact’ section it will state whether a product is FDA, EU, Kosher Certified or Halal Approved. Specification documents will also be updated with this information over the next few weeks.

The list of products which are deemed safe to use in any Halal food production area by the Halal Food Authority include, the J800 DetectaPen®, P950 DetectaPen®, J850 Gel DetectaPen®, Eco DetectaPen®, Fine Liner DetectaPen®, Felt Tip DetectaPen®, Standard Capped Marker Pen Range, Retractable Marker Pen Range, BST Tie ID Tags, BST DetectaBoard, BST Stackable Jugs, BST Palm Scrapers and the BST ID Badge Holders.
